Which looks more elegant?
My fiance and I are going engagement ring shopping in a few days and I am torn between 2 different styles. I wanted some opinions. We are thinking of getting a one karat, which is exactly what is seen in the pictures. Thank you.

The first. No offense but the second looks like costume jewelry.

I like the first one, its more traditional. But shows elegance at the same time. The second one looks like novelty ring, or something you would just wear everyday.
the first one is more elegant and classy, the second one is just big and flashy and looks like you’re trying to impress. i’d definitely go with the first one. :)
Definitely the first one. It’s simple and elegant, perfect for an engagement ring. Save the big stones for the big day :)
If you’re going for elegance, then the first one definitely. It’s looks very classy where as the big square in the second one (whilst it is impressive) cheapens the look I think.

I like the second one because it is not your average ring. As you’ve heard from previous answers they went with the first because everyone is accustomed to the princess cut diamond.
Whichever one will get you more money when you hock it after he cheats on you. haha
No one’s impressed by your going to by costume jewelry, so stop trying.

The second one looks more of a statement jewelry to me that came from the 90s.
