Engagement 101 Community to Pick the 8 Best Engagement Rings of 2011

New York, NY (PRWEB) May 03, 2011

Will soon-to-be engaged women pick a sapphire engagement ring like Catherine Middleton and Diana Spencer, or a classic round like Reese Witherspoon? Will couples choose matching wedding bands, and what will be their favorite designs?

Couples who visit YourEngagement101.com and Weddingdresses.com can cast their votes for their favorite rings in eight categories from today until May 31. About 150,000 soon-to-engaged visitors will be invited to participate. The eight best engagement rings and wedding bands of 2011 will be chosen and their designers will receive Engagement 101's first annual Bridal Jewelry Awards.

Those who cast their votes will automatically be entered into a giveaway where they can win a pair of wedding bands from Redcarpetjewels.com, a bridal tiara from Tigerlilly and, in celebration of the recent royal wedding, limited editions of the official royal wedding cookie tin.

Hundreds of entries from jewelers were submitted last month for the award nominations process. The selections were divided into eight categories of popular ring trends. The categories include: classic engagement rings, fancy engagement rings, women's wedding bands, men's wedding bands, matching engagement ring and wedding band sets, vintage engagement rings, trendsetting engagement rings and eco-friendly engagement rings.

Nominations for the Bridal Jewelry Awards were made possible by a team of experts who helped in narrowing down hundreds of entries to just eight selections for eight categories. The committee of experts included style expert Michael O'Connor, editor-in-chief of Engagement 101 Magazine Severine Ferrari, online editor of YourEngagement101.com Tiffany White, Ron Samuelson from Samuelson Diamonds, Chris and Darlene Miller of MJ Christensen Diamonds, Adam Gorman of I. Gorman Jewelers, Jim DeNatale of DeNatale Jewelers, Andy Koehn of Koehn & Koehn, David Long of Long Jewelers and Gail Friedman of Sarah Leonard Fine Jewelers.

Now it is time for real buyers of wedding rings all over America to share with the world what they like.
